The Closet of your Dreams is about to become Reality.

Hellow my dear readers,

In a previous post I told you guys how busy I was with a school project etc. and that I'll be talking about it soon. Well it took me a while to post it but, here it is.

For our fourth semester we have to make to make a smart closet. What is a smart closet? A smart closet is basically a closet which is completely automatized and electronic. Its like the closet in the old movie Clueless. The IT Fashion Closet is an innovative and computerized closet that works perfectly for organizing your clothes and all other wardrobe items. This closet is especially designed for women’s who have lots of clothes but not the same amount of time to pick an outfit out.  It’s separated in section where you can store jeans, shirts, skirts, shoes, bags, accessories etc. All customized by YOU!  The closet is completely computerized which you control with a mini touch screen. Even more special is the design of the closet. The lights, music, floor design and special applications will make the experience of picking your clothes to a whole new level.

The main point of the project is not the making of the product but the business plan. That doesn't mean that we don't have to make the product physically, but you can imagine how difficult it is to us to make a closet like this in less then 5 months. So we decided to make the whole business plan and the product layout.

Now my question to you guys is what would you guys want in a closet?

Like maybe music etc. etc. Just let me know in your comments below and I'll be sure to include it in my project.

Keep you posted!

DIY! Mascara protector

Hi beauties,

I know I haven't been posting in a while but I am sooooo busy with lots of thing. I wake up everyday and tell myself that I should really do some more posting, but then things comes up and I don't get the time to do so. But don't worry, have some patience. As soon as everything gets back to normal I'll be sure to keep my blog updated.
So this is a article I came across on the website Beautylish

If you’re like me with an unsteady hand, applying mascara can be a bit of a messy situation. Mascara bits can get swiped on your lids and smudged on your bottom lash line. There are nifty mascara gaurds that you can purchase to protect the skin around your eyes from getting dabbed with makeup, but why buy them when you can create your own? Here are 3 ways to use everyday products from home as a mascara protector.
  • Q-Tips | Lightly hold a Q-Tip vertically against your eyelashes and brush your mascara upwards. Any mascara bits will be brushed onto the Q-Tip. Do the same for the lower lashes.
  • Business card | Use a business card and lay it behind your lashes and brush your mascara upwards. Any mascara bits will be brushed onto the card. Do the same for the lower lashes.
  • Piece of plastic or thin cardboard | Cut a piece of plastic or cardboard to fit the shape of your eye, preferably cut it with rounded corners (so you don’t poke yourself). Brush your mascara upwards and any mascara bits will be brushed onto the card. Do the same for the lower lashes.

Creating a look at a higher lever thanks to Looklet

Hi my dear reader,

Today I was busy doing a research for a big project of mine, which I will talk about it later, when I came across an awesome website. I don't know if you guys heard of it before, but the website is still very young. It was founded in 2009. Enough said, let me tell you about the website!

The website is called LOOKLET and is basically similiar to Polyvore, with the only  difference that this one is in BETA. It offers a selection models—each with various facial expressions—38 backdrops and almost 2,000 items of clothing and accessories that can be combined to try out new looks and combinations. All the clothes items are actual, existing pieces selected by stylists from real designers; users need only drag and drop them onto the model of their choice to create their own personal look, which is viewable from multiple perspectives. Once they've created a style they like, they can save it and share it with other users of the site as well as with friends on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere. Some 76,000 users have already created more than 600,000 outfits on Looklet, all browsable, searchable and available for remixing.

The cool thing about it, is that you can really see how the clothes will look on the person and the backgrounds are also very cool. The backgrounds really match with your outfit. I made one myself during class, so it was just a quickie.

I called it road kill, mainly because my friend gave it the name, but its just an outdoor casual dress. Kind of a everyday look.

Have you tried LOOKLET or will you try it? Just let me know!

Problem Solved....Thanks to TREsemme.

Hi dolls,

Over the past years I've always wanted to dye my hair, but my mom never allowed me to do so. I am not the type of girl who is extremely caring about her hair, so my mom was really worried that I would damage my hair.

Now that I'm a little bit older I've just went one day to the hair salon and dyed my hair. My hair was BLACK so the first application didn't go so well. I've had to reapply one more time to obtain the color I desired and that what I did after 2 months. To make the story short, the color came out perfectly, but that was not my biggest problem.

My problem came after dying my hair. I think many of you guys would already know that when you use color shampoo you hair gets really dry. I had already problems with dryness but after dying my hair it turned out worst. It was super difficult to comb my hair after washing it. My comb couldn't even go through my hair and when it does I could hear the sound of dryness.

I started trying every hair product possible but nothing helped, but then I came across some reviews about TREsemme. I though they didn't sell it here on Curacao, but when I saw it in a Supermarket I immediately bought it.

And OMG!!!!!!!!!! The conditioner worked as magic. When you apply it you immediately can feel the the difference. My hair felt so smoothly and I had no problem at all combing my hair. Even better was when I had to blow my hair. It went so well and my hair came out very smoothly with no trace of dryness.

So if you have any problems with dryness for whatever reason I totally recommend it. I don't know about the other collections of TREsemme but I have a good feeling of them. If you have tried another collection of them let me know how it went.

Yes! I was a blush virgin

Hi honeys,

A couple of days ago I bought some new stuff which I decided to post later when I buy some little more things.

One of the things I bought was a blush. Its a 12 Redwood Blush Powder from Jordana. I wore this blush one week ago and it was the first time ever I used a blush. Yesterday I wore this same blush again, and this blush is the only one I owe, seriously! I have to say that I never liked blush. I thought they made you look just like one of those Barbie dolls, and being a huge "natural look fan" that just not done. After seeing lots of tutorials I decided to try it, and I have to admit I totally love it.

I love how the blush can make your cheeks look flawless and your whole face kind of glow. It can really transform your whole look in a good way. One thing is that you have to be careful, because too much blush can make you look like a clown.

In this picture below I'm wearing the blush. It kind of makes my face looks smaller too. It was a night event, but I still decided for a really soft look. On my eyes I used a purple and redish color up to my crease area and then on the crease area a dark brown and peach for the highlight area below my eyebrow.

I'm kinda excited with the blush thing and I really want to buy some more colors. This time I want a more natural color so I can use it in daytime at a regular basis. Any recommendations?

MakeUp Tips for Look Like a Cover Star

It's easy to look gorgeous when you have a full glam team working on your makeup. But what if you're trying to look like a cover star at home? The top artists who work on Seventeen cover stars like Taylor Swift, Hayden Panettiere, Ashley Greene, and Miley Cyrus are dishing their secrets for a flawless complexion, standout eyes, and perfect lips!

Brigitte's Skin Tips

"For the skin to glow, but not look oily, just apply a touch of moisturizer or luminizer on the top of the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the tip of the chin."

Kate's Skin Tips
"To get great youthful skin like a cover star's, the trick is to get a facial a few days before the shoot (or big occasion) and then use a scrub the night before to get the skin's circulation going. Seventeen cover stars need to look approachable from the newsstand, so I like to use a little highlighter on the cheeks, plus blush, and bronzer for a subtle glow."

Amy's Skin Tips

"When I'm working with a celebrity for a cover shoot it's all about the skin. I always use a sheer dewy foundation with antioxidants, to make the skin glow and allow the foundation to absorb into the skin and not sit on the surface. I'm not a fan of powder because it tends to make the face look flat and dry. I also use rice paper sheets to absorb unwanted oil on the face — this leaves a healthy youthful sheen. To add an extra pop on the face I always use highlighter — take it in a half moon shape around the eyes, and down the bridge of the nose. This does for your face what diamonds do for your ears (maximum bling)."

Kate's Eye Tips

"Brows frame the face, so it's important to even them out by plucking or trimming stray hairs before a photo shoot.
Lashes also help to open the eye area — use a good curler to make them eyes look bigger. Also, faux strip lashes are great to give off the illusion of longer lashes. After you apply them you can take a heated eyelash wand and gently push the lashes up, molding them more as you press.
For Miley's cover shoot we wanted her to look like rock & roll royalty, so I painted little stars on her face to be different. That's the great thing about Seventeen and their covers — they're not afraid to take chances and have fun!"

Amy's Eye Tips

"When it comes to eyes, I always want to make them pop. The way to emphasize this best is with liner and lashes. Try using a kohl eye along the waterline on the top and bottom, then take a small brush to smudge it out. This contrasts the white of the eye giving off a subtle, smoky feel. Then take a wash of a gold or silver eye shadow and tap it on the ball of your eye to add dimension and highlight (you can do this step with your finger).
Lashes really are a cover girl's best friend! I use individual false lashes in short black and brown. I start with a black lash on outer corner and layer black and brown lashes across the whole eye. Then I will take a few brown individual lashes on the underneath of the eye. You don't have to be an expert to master false lashes — you just need tweezers, duo glue, and little bit of patience.
When you keep the lid of the eye clean, adding just a little gold or silver sparkle and emphasize the lash line, it really makes the eye pop while never looking over done."

Francesca's Skin Tips

"To give a cover star a natural glow, I apply a cream blush to the apples of the cheeks using my finger. Then I apply bronzer with a big brush all over the face."

Yves Saint Laurent Belle d'Opium ad banned for 'simulated drug use'

The advert for Yves Saint Laurent's Belle d'Opium perfume has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority for apparently portraying a woman who appears to be under the influence of drugs.
In the ad the model spins around in a rapturous state, and runs her finger along the inside of her forearm which, according to the watchdog, "could be seen to simulate the injection of opiates into the body".

YSL meanwhile say that the advert merely represents a woman who is "addictive and seduced the viewer to become this addiction", didn't intend to use drug imagery in the ad, and that it hadn't drawn any other interpretation during their consumer research.

I personally think that they overreacted. I don't see how it can be related with drug use, but then again it's just my opinion. What do you think?

Get The SAG Look: Lea Michele and Hilary Swank's Romantic curls

hilary_swank_lea_michele_sag_hair.jpg

There were so many beautiful looks on the red carpet of the SAG Award and two people who really caught the attention of everyone was Lea Michele and Hillary Swank with their romantic soft curls. I'm not a fan of Glee, but I just love all the looks of Lea Michelle. She has always that fresh, soft, natural girly look that just you just can resist to fall in love with.

Stylist Alli Webb, owner of LA hair salon Drybar said, "Long, loose curls were in full effect! Hilary Swank and of course Mila Kunis really nailed this look. Also Leah Michele from Glee was rocking that perfect beachy hair."

If you're hoping that getting the look is as easy as it looks... well it is! Alli's given us some tips on how you can do it - check them out after the cut.

-  To achieve Hilary and Mila's look, you should have a great blowout that's nice and full

-  Dry your hair using a medium-sized round brush (always start in the front!) and don't worry if your hair is a
tad frizzy when you are done. Your 1 inch curling iron will smooth it all out.

-  Take one inch sections and work all the way around your head - I recommend sectioning your hair into 4
large pieces and curling one section at a time so you don't miss any hair!

-  Curl away from your face, on both sides. End with a light spray shine and twist.

Love Potion in a Lipgloss

Powder_lounge_WOMS_LoveLips.jpg
So it's officially February and you know what that means - just two weeks to go until Valentines Day.
If you don't have a 'special someone' to buy tacky teddy bears for (blergh), don't worry: help is on the way.

Purveyors of fabulous eyelashes The Powder Lounge have launched a lipgloss that will apparently help you attract a man.
How you ask? Well, as well as having a plumping formula, the Love Lips gloss also contains 'Complex O', a "clinically proven compound featuring a love inducing neuro-chemical that is found naturally in those who are lovestruck", meaning any man who gets close to you while wearing it will feel more sensitive and be more caring.

Well if this Lipgloss really works I'm totally in to it. Maybe it can help me get the man of my dream, which I still don't know how it should be. Anyways I think its kind of a cool idea, what do you think? Catch or trash?
