I loved seeing what the students were wearing on campus. They're always so innovative! So I thought it would be fun to document it on a blog. I never realized how many other people would be interested in it!

Always staying true to our style, whether it's writing the blog entries or fashion stylings, no matter how popular the blog gets.

We met Scott Schuman, of The Sartorialist, and he taught us so much about the world of blogging and fashion journalism. He's able to decipher the business side of it all from the fashion chaos. MAC Bloggers Collection

MAC Cosmetics is launching a collection created by a select few lucky guru bloggers The beauty girls were chosen from a large group of 80 bloggers (who were asked to submit color concepts for both a lipglass and an eyeshadow), were then narrowed down to 10 winners who were flown to Toronto to tour the MAC factory there and create products.

After the beauty gurus created their products, three eyeshadows and five lipglasses were chosen which MAC will be selling online beginning at the end of June. Below are the details on the products, and the lucky bloggers!

Your style (in couple of words): It’s always difficult for me to answer this question because I don’t feel like I have one style in particular. Instead of marking trends of my own I love to follow what’s in for the season and adapt it to my personality. But one thing I can say about my style is that is chic yet comfortable and most of the time casual.

How long have you been blogging? 

I’ve been following my favorite bloggers since the past year but I couldn’t decide whether to start my own blog or not. At last on April I decided it to give it a go! So practically I’m new at this!

What was the reason that you've started blogging? 

I have a friend that had a blog and immediately was attracted to this whole blogsphere.

What was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it? 

Umm well I think my biggest challenge is yet to come when I move on by own in a different country, which is in about 2 years max. And of course, getting my degree this year.

What do you like about blogging? 

The creativity, making friends and the opportunity to show my style.

What would you like to change about your blog? 

I would love to take more professional pictures but my budget doesn’t stretch that much to buy a fancy camera.

Any future plans for your blog? 

First of all keep expanding and making my blog notice! Also I’m planning to make guests blogs and of course giveaways when I reach more followers

You can find inspiration in everything actually. But in the blogsphere Andy Torres for StyleScrapbook has to be my main inspiration and of course Chiara from The Blonde Salad, and the list could go on. There are so many bloggers out there that inspires me day to day.

Confidence is everything. You can wear a beautiful expensive dress but if you don’t have the confidence to wear it, it won’t look good on you.

In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different, so don’t be afraid to show your own style.

I started blogging in 2007 with a blog named Selvaggiastyle, I blogged for 1 and half years then I had to quit due too job duties. I restarted blogging in April with the Don't Call Me Fashion Blogger website.

What was the reason that you've started blogging?

It's because when we started blogging about fashion we wanted to be an independent voice on the fashion world, this is far away from what is happening right now.

Most of the times fashion bloggers are depending upon invitations to fashion shows and they are not fairly reviewing catwalks.

What was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?

To restart blogging when things have changed so much, I overcame it by relying on old good friends that are still blogging who have supported me.

That I can exchange ideas with people even if we are far away from each other

How long have you been blogging?

 I’ve been keeping my own blog for about 5 years, in various incarnations, and have been contributing to other blogs and online publications for about 2 years now.

What was the reason that you've started blogging? 

I’ve always had a strong opinion about things and after seeing Perez Hilton blow up online just by crafting poorly written posts filled with his opinions I thought, “hey I could totally do this.” Eventually I saw blogging as a way to move into writing for real, which I kinda do.

What was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it? 

My biggest challenge has always been finding time to blog. I always bite off more than I can chew so carving out the time to write and schedule posts for my blog and the 5 other sites I contribute to has been a bit of a chore. However, with the help of other writers, Google calendar and the “schedule post” button I’ve been able to get a handle on things.

What do you like about blogging? 

Besides meeting new people and attending awesome events, I love the level of intimacy that you can give readers on a blog. For better or worse, when readers read your blog then gain a sense of who you are and come to trust you much like a pen pal. You also gain this built in fan base that honestly critiques you and follows your career in whatever you’re building a career in. 

What would you like to change about your blog? 

As of now, nothing really other than being able to show appreciation to my writers in something more than gold stars and margaritas.

Any future plans for your blog? 

I plan to keep expanding. Adding more writers and more local content. Atlanta is such a diverse city filled with emerging talent that for some odd reason is ignored by regional main stream media, that I almost feel a calling to shine a light on it.

Who inspires you (blog)? 

Everything inspires me. From nature and design to my mom and the girls I write it, it all plays a part in shaping me and my blog. The best writers, and bloggers, are the ones that observe and can use what they observe to evoke an emotion.

Only buy things that fit! No one looks good in something that is too tight/small/big. Also, as cheesy as it sounds, be confident in whatever you wear. A $10,000 dress can look like a $10 dress on someone who is self conscious and a $10 dress can look like a million bucks if you love the way you look in it.

Any advice for someone who aspire to be a blogger like you? 

Be authentic. Don’t try to be the next Tavi, be yourself and produce content that you love. If you don’t love reading what you write chances are no one else will.
