How long have you been blogging?
Since October 2009
What was the reason that you've started blogging?
I loved seeing what the students were wearing on campus. They're always so innovative! So I thought it would be fun to document it on a blog. I never realized how many other people would be interested in it!
What was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?
Always staying true to our style, whether it's writing the blog entries or fashion stylings, no matter how popular the blog gets.
What do you like about blogging?
Having a powerful voice in the fashion world.
What would you like to change about your blog?
More fashion week coverage from the front rows!
Any future plans for your blog?
Wherever the blog takes us...
Who inspires you (blog)?
We met Scott Schuman, of The Sartorialist, and he taught us so much about the world of blogging and fashion journalism. He's able to decipher the business side of it all from the fashion chaos. Other influences include: Bill Cunningham, Robert Frank, Frank White, Melvin Sokolsky, Patrick Demarchelier, David Bailey, and bien sûr, Garance Doré.
Fashion Icon: Carine Roitfeld / Frank Sinatra
Favorite clothing items: My fringe Cavalli boots & my dad's vintage felt hat / Tie clip & 1980s Adidas t-shirt
Favorite brand: Yves Saint Laurent & Roberto Cavalli / Scot ♥s anything from Milan!
Favorite Celebrity: Brigitte Bardot / Joe Montana
What would be your dream job: What I'm doing right now, being a Fashion Editor & Photographer!!
Where do you dream to live: Right here in Texas, but we wouldn't complain if we were in St. Croix.
Hobbies: Craps & Poker
Any beauty/fashion tip?
Love your problems and make them beautiful. The perfection is in the imperfection.
Any advice for someone who aspire to be a blogger like you?
Find a blog hook. Readers want to discover new ideas, not a thousand different variations of The Sartorialist.
Tell us something particular of you.
We love discovering new blogs with unique pictures and various entries from people who are passionate about the fashion world. IFB is so exciting and we're so glad that we came across A MakeUp Lover!
