New Years Eve Outfits

With the end of 2011 just days away, most of you have probably thought what you are going to be wearing to your New Year's Eve event. Well I have been giving it a lot of thoughts these days, and though I still don't know what it will be, here are some ideas I came up with.

Sequin Leggings & Chic Boots
If you live in a cold country like I do, then it would be probably better to cover yourself up. A thight or pumps are possible but I really doubt that they would be enough to keep you warm. Now sequin leggings and chic boots on the other side are a good garment to keep you warm and most importanty, they're very stylish. Just be careful not to look too casual.

Deep Colored Dress
Allthough sequins and metallic colors are must haves for the end of the year period, dressing up in a simple one color dress can be an eye-catcher as well. Try colors like dark purple, red, blue, or green. Use solid colors and add dramatic accessories to add the spark in your outfit.

Flats or Heels?
This can be a tricky choice, but it all depends on your outfit. I normally would rather go out (everywhere) with flats. Sorry but I like comfort, and especially when I'm planning to go all out. One thing I´ve learned from watching Jersey Shore is that heels and alcohol are dangerous combination. Now pulling off flats for a party can be really tricky, but instead of stilletos or flats you can try block heels, wedges, or 3.5/4 inch heels.

Blogger in the Spotlight: Deveney from In Our Zone

After giving chance to fellow bloggers to participate in my Bloggers in the Spotlight section, I now want to put the spotlight on bloggers that I like and can recommend.

Meet Deveney, fashion and beauty blogger from Holland. Her blog is called In Our Zone and it's written in Dutch. This blogger knows how to give a good impression with her structured layout and good quality pictures.

Q: What did inspire you to start blogging?
Well actually, that's pretty simple. Everything I see, hear, smell or think inspired me to start blogging.

Q: We all know that blogging can be a tough job. What is it that keeps you going?
The positive feedback and the love for writing keeps me writing. And even if I did get negative reviews, I'd still keep on going. I love what I do and that's enough for me. I've been blogging for years now and I don't plan to stop!

Q: How would you describe your style?
My style is pretty basic. Too basic for my taste actually. Considering my lifestyle at the moment, I can't wear my high heels everyday. So usually I step out the door in a comfortable and basic outfit. Jeans, nice jacket, flat shoes and my favorite necklace. But I adoreee high heels, treggings and dresses/skirts. I usually wear that when I have to dress up for a party or go out with friends.

Q: What kind of future do you hope to achieve?
A future full of wisdom and happiness and a life that is never boring. I hate being bored, so I want to keep busy. Of course, writing and blogging should be a part of my future too.

Q: Aside from blogging, what are your other passions?
My other passion is reading. I love to read and I think that's also a logical explanation for why I started writing myself.

Q: Tell us you favorite quote.
"Aliis volat propriis" and that's Latin for "she flies with her own wings". I don't know, it got to me somehow.

Shades of a New Trend: Rock Your Bobby Pins

Source: The Beauty Department

Although this trend is in my opinion very weird, I'm not going to lie and say that I don't like it. I mean lets be honest here. How many of us won't love to not have to care whether our bobby pins are showing or not? It would spare us a lot of time as well.

This is the most convenient trend I've seen this year, but still I'm not so sure if I would show my bobies on purpose. Maybe I'll just need to try it one time or two and get used to it.

Now the real question is...

Would you try this trend?
