BEAUTY FIND: LYNNDERELLA NAIL POLISHES

I came across the picture above on TUMBLR, and I instantly fell in love with it. I hadd to Google here and there, but I finally found - the slightly unknown - brand.

The nail polish is called Lynnderella. Their handmade from scratch by a very talented women. The polishes are available through private sale only (at Llarowe), or on Ebay. Their a bit pricy, around $50 on Ebay, but I guess that they are kind of worth their price.

THE ART OF DIY: 5 EASY AND AWESOME DIY PROJECTS

DIY is the art of constructing, repairing, or changing something without the help of a professional. It’s been a common trend in the home decoration industry, but it slowly became a hype in the fashion & beauty industry as well. From making clutches, tie-dying a jean, and making facials, the DIY trend is now more popular than ever.

There are many blogs who focus mainly on DIY project, while others do it merely to add a new piece to their wardrobe. My DIY project record is not very long, but I hope that one day I will have half my wardrobe with DIY pieces (besides I’m a student; I have to). To show you how easy and money-saving this trend is, I collected 5 of the best DIY that I found on blogs.

I've been wanting to do a giveaway for some time already. Well now I finally did it.

What I'm giving away is a gold chain headband. I wrote once about this accessory and how much I loved it, so I'm truly happy that I'm able to give this away. You can get this hairband and similiar ones at Kristin Perry, though I didn't buy this one on her website.

To win this fashionable hair piece. All you have to do is:
  1. Follow my blog on Bloglovin'
  2. Like my blog on Facebook
  3. Follow me on Twitter
  4. Leave a message with your name, email and the ring of your choice.
It's just easy like that! I will choose the winner on June 11, so you have till June 10 to enter. It's an international giveaway, so everyone can participate.

EVENT REPORT: SPRING & HEELS BLOGGERS PARTY

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about an event I was organizing. After lots of planning, rushing, and emailing (times 10), we were able to put together an event that finally portrayed what we are – a blogging community. Yes, the event was meant for fashion/beauty bloggers to interact and socialize with each other. That’s exactly what we all did during the entire evening. We shared stories, talked about blogging (duhh), and exchange some good laugh.

To make things a lot more fun, we planned some really fun activities for them. We started off with a quiz, and then continued with a lookbook game. The winners won some really cute scarves, provided by Loved by Blanche. Of course, all good event needs good food and a goodiebag, and we had plenty of that as well.
To give you an impression of that night, here are some photos of what went down on May 25 in Amsterdam.

To all the girls who attended, and those who couldn’t make it at last: THANK YOU! Seeing the reactions of the girls and the kind email’s and tweets we’ve received made us very happy. Also, a big thank you to the event team (Gia, Tiff, Jen). This event was not possible without their hard-working minds. All the hard work did pay off girls. Last but not least, thank you to all our sponsors: Loved byBlanche, Die wil ik hebben, Fashionista, My Jewellery, De Schoenkast and Wear for Love.

For the all those ones who asked us to organize one more event like this one, we will do our best though we can’t promise anything. For those who attended, we would love to hear your feedback. Send us a mail, tweet or post. The ones who couldn’t make it, we still like to hear from you.

FIRST EDITION OF CURACAO FASHION WEEK

This week was the first edition of Curaçao International Fashion Week. Many talented designers profiled their creations on the catwalk. Designers like Custo Barcelona, Aqua di Lara, Francesca Marotta, Charles Albert, Adhazelma, Romero Bryan, Washington Roberts, David Paulus, House of Byfield, Maya Atalita, and many more.

Coming from this small island I’m always very happy and proud when these types of events occur, especially since it puts Curaçao on the map in the fashion world. I would have loved to be present and be part of this big event. Maybe next edition! Still, I collected some photos to show how good the show was and how much I missed. Who said there is no fashion in Curaçao?
